Aussie US versions of Left 4 Dead 2

hello, I am an Australian and I have an american friend who is gifting me left 4 dead 2 due to the rated version being mass fail, but I wanted to ask am I able to play online with other australians who only have the cut version? because in my thoughts wouldn't the violence level just be effects like playing with shadow quality on and playing with others that have it off, I know thats a bad example but you get what I mean. Because yes I am wanting to buy it but only if I can play the online game with the gore as it is suppose to be.

I know you can change some numbers in certain settings, but u can only play with people who have that setting enabled aswell then apparently, but I was told that if imported you CAN play with everyone with gore on, no matter wether they do or not, and I just want a confirm from a australian who has also done this.

I imported 6 copies of L4D2 from overseas, all of which worked fine, and a friend recently had a friend from the US gift her a copy during the last sale.

You get the full proper violence, and can play on local servers, all works swell.

+1 for it working, i imported a retail US copy and it works perfectly, with added gorey goodness.

Valve updates are almost always free, unless you're on consoles. Microsoft makes them charge.
