In short, you wait for Samsung to release an updated firmware that addresses the problem.

I have the samsung bd3600 and the blueray copy of avatar works fine on it. It even worked fine with the outdated firmware before I updated it today.

When many Blu-Ray players were coming out, the common issue seemed to be the ability to update the firmware - some players could not be updated, yet, at the time, the PlayStation 3 was "future proof" in being able to always keep updated firmware.

Your particular model and brand of player "needs an update" but if it's up-to-date from the manufacturer you have 2 options - wait an unknown amount of time for an update from them, or replace your player.

Technically, there is a third option.

This is why having a PS3 for blu ray is a very good investment. You are guaranteed to have the updates as quick as they happen and your blu ray player will never be left out for obvious reasons...

thsi was teh biggest problem with blur ray first gen VS hd dvd first gen. it was NOT standard to have an ethernet port on a blu ray player......but it was mandatory on HD DVD's....
