About to put my new computer together and am very excited to finally play this game. I know it will run fine, but I'm just wondering how well in terms of what the average FPS will be.

I'm running it with:

- GTX 480

- Intel Core i7-930 2.8 GHz

- 6GB RAM

- Windows 7 64-bit

I will also be playing this from an SSD, if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

I have the same comp except I have a GTX 470.

On maxed settings with 4x AA at 1680x1050 I get 30-40 fps. You're going to be about 35-50 if I had to guess.

I recommend downloading the C.C.C. 2.21 custom config files. They make the game look better while giving way more FPS. You'ed want to do the level 4+ because the level 5 is really just to take pretty pictures with, not play.

You'll still see about 35-45 FPS with 4xAA with all maxed settings. It'll be very stable and play very smoothly for ya.

I tried real lifesis and it knocked my FPS down to around 3 and I had to uninstall and reinstall. Will it really boost my framerate? Can you give a download link?

ccc 2.1 has different config level settings so you can choose one appropriate for your comp, unlike realifesis which just had one super setting.

I never used any custom .ini tweakers, but I do get an average of 25 FPS on an 8800GT. I play on a mixture of high/very high settings at a resolution of 1280x1024, with no AA or V-Sync.

Crysis keeps crashing at 90% when it's loading. Something very similar happened with lifesis.

Starting a new game fixed it. Oh well I wasn't far since I just formatted.

Haha, nah. This is only my first PC, so I don't think I have the rights to brag yet. As to why I posted though, I knew that I would have no problem running the game, but wasn't sure if I would get a solid FPS with maxed out settings.

You probably wont get maxed out settings with solid FPS, it you run it on the complete highest settings possible at the res you are saying on 1 470 you can gaurentee the framerate will dip at times and get a little chuggy.

For comparison, my Phenom 965 @ 3.4GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333MHz, 4890, 790GX chipset "Dragon" system can push Crysis to 40FPS @ 1080p, all settings at high for DirectX 10 and AA disabled. That card will give higher FPS at higher settings.

Actually I'm running it on a GTX 480, not 470. Kind of said it in the first post of the topic. Not hard to miss.

On a GTX 275, 4 gigs, Phenom II X4 955 BE, I got between 35-45 fps on 1680*1050 DX 10, all max, no AA.

So someone got a better rig than you and got the fps you can't in a game then he's lying? is not like I didn't post a benched fps evdience with it. an OCed 930 ,9G ram + GTX480SLI probably isn't the "craziest" compare to my co-workers 4way GTX480SLI, but a soild 40-70+ is what you get when max out crysis at that res with 4xaa,

this game is 3 year old for the ***** sake

Sorry man, I was pretty tired when I posted that. It was like 2 A.M. where I was. A 480 probably could run it at that FPS, especially with 9 gigs of ram. And your co-worker has a 4way 480? That must've been expensive.
