I'm been trying to download the AVG 8.5 update but for a reason thats unknown to me, the download keeps stopping and I got error messages. Is there a site where I can download the update thats not from AVG?

I agree with all those points!Get Avast, from my experience is much better than AVG. And yeah, Norton it's crap.

[QUOTE="Sordidus"]I agree with all those points! The current version of Norton, Norton 360, is better than AVG. Period. If you disagree, I can already promise you haven't tried it. :) Every single other version of Norton/Symantec in the last decade though... yeah, they sucked. As far as the free AV's go, Avira > Avast! > AVG when you're talking about how well they actually detect viruses. Given that I keep the free AV around solely to detect viruses, I go for the one that's the best at it. :)Get Avast, from my experience is much better than AVG. And yeah, Norton it's crap.

I've tried the trial version of NOD32 and I know people that use it, and I don't think it's better than Avast.

Did you mean to say Norton 360, or NOD32? :) Either way, you're in the minority as far as people that have tried both. I've yet to encounter someone that honestly didn't like Norton 360 right now, which is kind of mindblowing if you think about it.[QUOTE="Sordidus"][QUOTE="Makari"] The current version of Norton, Norton 360, is better than AVG. But I'll keep with Avast until I've a reason to change, I may try that Norton version then:P

I keep reiterating it's good because it's so incredibly strange for Norton to have a home A/V that I wouldn't instantly uninstall on sight, let alone something I think is good. :)
