Shell32.dll is a library that is used and loaded for lots of things, but it's easily possible that it could contain a virus just because it get's used that much. Is any specific virus or spyware/malware/trojan named?

Ah, but that's OK, that file changes all the time. The Shell32.dll is a file that is used by file access, when accessing websites, etc. It's part of the Windows API (Application Programming Interface) and it's one of those essential libraries that gets used by a lot of actions. Your AVG triggered on it since it changed while scanning the file because something accessed it at the same time and changed it's state.

OK, so where is the PC software forum section then? It's just a general agreement here that until a software section get's made, the software topics stay here.
