AvP extremely cheap right now....

AVP for $6.80 on steam. should i? its only 6 dollars and 80 measely cents but even that seems like too much for such a critically panned game... what do yall think?

I feel sorry for all the people who bought this at $50, but at $6.80, it's a steal. And it's cheaper than Microcenter's price for the game ($9.99 + tax).

I'm too much of a fan of the first 2 games to pass up the third installment for 7 bucks, even if it was hated by everyone. On the bright side, I generally enjoy (more than expected) games I expect to hate lol.

I also picked up Dirt 2 for 5 bucks.

i got it but it doesn't work so well on newer machines. the fps drops almost constantly.

I got Metro 2033, too.

So far, I've spent $32 on this Steam sale. I spent around $25 during the summer sale, and $40 during the previous Christmas sale.

Huh? It's a FPS it's naturally better on PC.

In my opinion, when a game is under $10 it doesn't have to be "great", it just has to be worth what I paid for it.

That is why I buy almost any game that I have even a tiny bit of interest in when I can get it for under $10.

I played an hour or two of AvP on my 360 and was like "meh", but for the current price on Steam I am going to buy it.

If nothing else, it will look great running on my PC. :shock:

I payed full retail price for this game and both dlcs at launch for the 360 version. I do not regret that decision.

It's a good game.... not as good as AvP2 but definately not as bad as most people say it is.

The MP was great fun at the start, but now it's dead...

There's enough people on at any time to play games non stop if you wanted.

When you use the PC as your primary gaming medium eventualy you get to distinguish between the Wheat and the Chaff. I bet this game is good on the PS3 and I'm even thinking of picking it up if its cheap enough but I dont know about anybody else but AVP on the PC is very underwhelming.

I feel like I was ripped off when I bought this.

Controls are definitely better on the console versions. It's impossible to play this game with a mouse and keyboard as proficiently as someone with a controller.

I'm one of the very few people who enjoy the game. Sure the single player is short and dismal but the multiplayer can be great fun. I especially loved Infestation. It's a shame it got destroyed before it even released.

And for the record I HATED the console version and found the PC version much easier to control.

I would rather pay $7 to get my copy of AvP2 working on windows 7. Its just the better game. AvP was a major disapointment.

I've only played about 20 min of the singleplayer, but it is creeping me out (marine of course). You can't really mess up the fear factor when you have that motion tracker going and super dark areas... Amigro
