Bad Company 2 - Is there something wrong with the progress score?

So i've been playing the recon class the most since i've started Bad Company 2 & there is something that doesn't look right.

As you can see from the screenshot below, i've unlocked the first to unlocks for the class, but the third unlock requires a ridiculous amount of points for it to be unlocked, 10002100 points infact.

Is this suppose to be? If so, do you have any idea why there is such a massive point difference between the second & third unlock?

Yeah they made the points a lot more than what it is gonna be in the real game to make sure players just don't play the demo and unlock everything.
