I downloaded the Unreal Tournament 3 demo a few days ago... The gameplay is awesome, but I'm getting framerates of 20 and 30 fps... This really sucks, because I was hoping that my computer would max games like this just fine, which is not the case. I don't know if it's just my computer... Gamespot got 80fps on a resolution just a little bit lower than mine, so why are my framerates so bad?

As far as my rig, I have a 640mb 8800gts, 2gb Dual Channel RAM, an AMD X2 5400 CPU, and Windows Vista (big mistake)... Could my CPU be holding me back...? I have 163.69 forceware drivers for my graphics card.

I really feel like giving up on all of this... If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

yea you CPU isnt the best for the card which is bottemnecking your card i say just get a CPU or maybe lower some Option in Game.

Game runs fine for me on med so yea Know if run better since i just order some new ram G.SKills Extreme Series 1gb Giveing 2gb of ram Yeppie.

Lol off topic

But yea Vista could be that reson to it ant ready to play Games yet cause of the drivers you lose about 30% of frams when playing in vista compare to xp.

O and im not sure if those are the new drivers but there are new driver that where made for The Timeshift demo Try useing them They gave me some FPS boost on some of my games..
