What i dont get your comment ? Who told you that is the only think bothering me ? Also we are in a gaming forum so i will complain for stuff that have to do with gamesI understand about steam since they want it DRM free but why the hell they wont release it on GOG ? They already said in the article there's not going to be another DD service. It's going to be available on their website and the App Store.
On topic, this doesn't bother me. Was planning on getting it day one.
If it installs on your PC then it'll launch through steam, just add it with "Add Non-Steam Games to Library".
Tbh im not that interested in this... "version". Even more so the more you read... They have dlc planned? The main focus is the tablet? Hardly any new content? Abit higher res... All of these things except the tablet and dlc have been done by free =/KalDurenik
You people spend 60 dollars on CoD every year. Spending 40 dollars on two of the best games EVER created, being remade with better graphics and more content is somehow not interesting, or is deserving of quotations around the word version?
I couldn't care less about this remake. The original games look and play just fine. Quite frankly, I am getting sick of all of these remakes, reboots, and re-releases. Talk about a complete lack of creativity in this industry.
I'd agree if not for the fact that the first game won't run on most newer systems at all, including my own. This re-release is the only way I'm going to get to play BG1 + tosc again which I'm really looking forward to. Besides they're adding new content and we could potentially see a BG 3 out of this if it sells well.I couldn't care less about this remake. The original games look and play just fine. Well i dont own a single cod my brother have one for the console and i have played on it for like 20min and came to the conclusion that its boring ;). Every time they open their mouth about this rerelease i just cant help but facepalm. First of all it sound like the tablet version is more important, then they have dlc planned, then its just a stepping stone for them to get to work on some other larger titles and then they are not doing anything special that have not already been made by fans for free... They will only bump the resolution (fan made patch have done this) because the source material is lost. Then they are going to make some minor new content and remake the ui to make it work on tablets and well yeah... Anyway i honestly dont care at all. Oh and yes i own the classic rpgs and i just think this is sad... Trying to milk a known name so that their overlords can grant them a ok to milk the game more by making a continuation or more "resolution bumps" to the old classics... Let them RIP they do not need to be continued on... Also BG work without problem for most of my friends (on newer computers) even multiplayer work but it was abit tricky to get it to work :O[QUOTE="-wildflower-"]I'd agree if not for the fact that the first game won't run on most newer systems at all, including my own. The GoG versions work great on all newer systems (except Macs but who cares about Apple).
I also don't care about a new Baldur's Gate (Plansecape, Icewind Dale, etc.) games as they would most certainly be dumbed-down, fully voiced with constant cinematic events,to placate the ADHD inflicted "Millennial Generation"and I don't confidence in modern developers to do the games justice, either. If I actually thought there was a developer who could pull of a BG3 I might feel differently.

Do you even know who the millennials are? Peole born in the late 70s where the ones who enjoyed the game originally! Infinity Engine games weren't that complex anyway.

I've seen it as the late 70's through the early 90's, so, yeah, I know who they are. They're the idiots buying new smart phones and tablets every year. The ones who need to be connected every minute of every day to give their life the illusion of meaning. The Generation of Swine.

They're not just bumping the resolution. They wouldn't hire a pretty well-known artist if that was the case. I know you're just trying to troll, but it works better when you actually know what you're talking about.
This is a cash grab. The games are fine as they are, especially with all the mods. Make a new friggin RPG and stop trying to milk these games.

No, they use gadgets and "social connectivity" to simulate having friends, because actually hanging out with and talking to people is too stressful and awkward for them. Also, stop being a douche. Nobody likes douches.
Does this remake has a release date yet? Can't wait for this game, imagine how the Carsomyr +5 will look!!robertoenriqueYeah! And Minsc! And Sarevok! And EVERY SINGLE THING :D I can't freaking wait for this!

I don't really see how i'm being a douche, but ok.
this game really didnt need a remake, the tutu mod fixes it just fine. planescape torment would have been nice, especially if they upgraded graphics and made it fully voiced.

Are you kidding me? PS:T has a word count that ties with what was it, five and a half Harry Potter books? Making it fully voiced would cost more than TOR, lol.

Wow, that's a lot. I did a search and it's estimated word count is 800,000. That is immense! O_o[QUOTE="IZoMBiEI"]

yeah but it would be awesome, especially if they did it with the original cast. but you're right its just a pipe dream.Does this remake has a release date yet? This is what i'm cautious about, also considering that there are even more easy tweaks to do to improve the graphics even further. If it doesn't look at least on par with the added tutu mod, than it'll be beyond pathetic.

Wasn't really a fan of the TuTu mod tho, the creature spawn frequency was just pathetic. the spawn thing was just an addon, I never used it but it can be completely configured: "The default behavior of the new EasyTutu spawn system is to populate every spawn point on your initial visit to an area, and then repopulate each spawn point one game day after it has been cleared. This add-on will allow you to introduce an element of randomness to monster spawning: you may select a base spawn chance (the choices are: 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, or 90%), and the selected percentage is used as the chance of any individual spawn point becoming populated when it is time for a spawn there. Spawn points will still be capped at a maximum of one spawn per game day with this add-on installed."Please Log In to post.
