I have my old gaming rig set up as a media center with my HD tv in the living room. It has a MSIRadeon HD 5770 that seems to have crapped out. (Suddenly no video output of any kind and the fan blows very, very loud).

Since I only use this PC to watch HD movies via the VLC player what would be the best bare bones, meaning cheap, graphics card with a HDMI output I could use for this? Any suggestions?

Thanks guys :)

try to get RMA done for the 5770..you may still be under warranty. If not then the 6450 will be enough.

more than likely he would just get a 6770 if he did
