thats right thats what their saying over at game-debate.. a recent photo they dug up suggests that the multiplayer aspect fo AA will be a co-op mode where p2 plays the role of catwoman and use similar stealth tools as the caped crusader to progress through the games 4 to 5 times longer singleplayer campaign.

while eidos and co. have refused to comment on this being true.. a deathmatch system seems unlikely.

Sweet, I mean I think most people saw this coming, but cool nonetheless. I just hope playing with randoms will be ok, I doubt many of my friends will get it on the PC.

i'd rather they ditch this silly co-op/multiplayer farce and concentrate on making it a solid singleplayer experience like last time. Why does every game these days need to have some sort of co-op aspect if it features more than one character? Also, if it must have a co-op mode, then why not Robin/Nightwing?

this is after robins time with batman.. hence why batman refers to mrs gordon as oracle and not batgirl :P

They're simply catering to demand. Also, last I've read, the game's already done, and they got a whole year for spit and shine. I don't think they're going to lose focus of what's important.

Catwoman sounds good to me. Then again, I've never liked the idea of mini-me sidekicks like Robin and Batgirl. I've always thought that it should be Batman, with only Alfred by his side, versus the endless hordes of Gotham's worst. Catwoman, meanwhile, is one of the greatest anti-heroines in comics history, and her interactions with Batman have been both interesting and memorable. Personally, I approve of the developers' choice.

Hehe, one of the reasons why her interactions with Batman have been "memorable." The game's version is pretty nice too.

Me neither, I needed guns. I mean what good is a game if there are no flamethrowers, rocket launchers or m249s?

I was hoping for Mech combat! That way we can get Joker's mech holding a massive Gauss Rifle shaped as his famous gag gun and the BatMech tossing School Bus size batbombs at Joker!

Whatever i just dont want the singleplayer campaign to have a coop. I wanna play alone, coop kills the atmosphere and the story telling.

If it does have co-op I would much rather it be with Robin or Nightwing.

provided they focus on singleplayer, and add co-op as a bonus (and it is not the focus), I do not see the issue.

I love playing singleplayer, but coop is just icing on the cake. Halo and Gears of War were great fun on my own, but sitting next to a friend and going through it with him was a blast as well.

If they do coop like splinter cell conviction, then yeah but if they do it like re5 and gear of war...then no, the atmosphere will be gone.
