I'm still buying it though, it doesn't bother me, since it does boost up my Gamerscore :D

Why would anyone not be buying Batman AC because it uses GFW? Batman AA used it and it didn´t make it a worse game because of that. In fact why would anyone even consider not buying it because of GFW? its like not wanting to drive a Ferrari because it uses Unleaded gas.Link

Yes it did. GFWL is the only DRM that will make me not buy a game; it is plagued with issues and it is a disgrace that it is still supported at all in 2011. If you have never had a problem with GFWL then you are extremely lucky, and I expect you are a minority. If a great game is a Ferrari, then GFWL is a pile of camel dung that has been smeared all over the seats, rammed into the air vents and poured into the petrol tank; you can still buy that Ferrari if you like but it has been befouled too badly for me to want it.
This is one of those games I will more than likely wait and see how it is on the WiiU, If it looks "almost" as good and is fun, (makes use of the tablet) then I will skip it on pc...
I have the first one on PC. If Batman AC doesn't look anymore appealing on the WiiU than it does on the PC, then I will get the PC version, but it will be after the WiiU is already out.
Batman AA used GFWL, sure it has its problems, though nothing that hindered me playing the game..

...I never had a problem with it either...
Awesome, at least they are keeping GFWL instead of Steamworks, if I don't like it at least I can sell it.
Also, what about PhysX?
Guess ill be getting it on my 360 this time or wait for a price drop. Dante2710Please do realise that the original used the exact same infrastructure..
My beef with GWFL is how it handles the patching process and how constantly conflicted with the modems/routers in the apartments where I lived. I never had to deal with such issues when using Steam, D2D or any in-game patcher. Just GWFL.I like GFWL, I wish more games used it. Usually the only people who bash GFWL are the ones who mouth off on the forums saying it ruins the game somehow when in fact they are just pissed its harder to crack.

G4WL is only an issue when you initialy install a game and add a CD, it just craps out and it almsot as if it updates its self multiple times. Once that is over everything else is fine, it handle invites and matchmaking well enough and you can play it offline. There are worse DRM's out there.

Thats fine. You only have to sign in once anyway. Why are the people writing those comments so against this? Its really not that big a deal :( biggest_loserI know right???, i haven't encounter any problem with GFWL
I've never had a problem with Games for Windows - LIVE myself, so it would have no influence over my decision to buy the game.

I havent had that issue but I respect that it can happen, especially regarding routers blocking ports not letting the game update and patch. I have had issues with that myself and had to replace my router, with GFWL utilizing the UPNP it can sometimes not respond and leave the ports blocked for no reason, its extremely annoying.V4LENT1NE
Do you not think there is a bit of a discrepincy here? You say the only people who don't like it are the pirates then in the very next breath talk about an extremely serious problem with GFWL which affects many legitimate users.
People with BT homehubs or various Thompson routers have numerous problems with GFWL which they get with no other DRM. Even if you are lucky enough to be able to connect to the atrocious GFWL service, it takes at least 45 minutes and 2-3 restarts (which it does not tell you to do) to install it for the first time. After that, you have to pray that game-patching doesn't fail or corrupt itself inexplicably, and that GFWL is in the right mood to accept your CD key. If you ever actually get the game running and GFWL allows you to successfully make a save game, that game save is trapped into your current OS install and there is no way to reliably take it to another computer or keep it when reformatting.
The fact is that GFWL does ruin games, it can make them completely unplayable because it won't install, patch, save or go online without a fight. It is very reasonable to decide not to buy a game because it uses GFWL.
p.s. Not everybody thinks it's acceptable to REPLACE A ROUTER because of some godawful DRM.
Not everybody thinks it's acceptable to REPLACE A ROUTER because of some godawful DRM.i dont mind *most* DRM. to an extent. but if its something where my router needs replaced for it to work, im gonna be B****ing about it to no end. that is completely unacceptable. they sure as hell better be buying me a new router if they expect me to support them. steam DRM is virtually nonexistant, to the extent that you really don't even notice its there. thats the way to do it. dont F*** over your PAYING customers just to add DRM. if pirates want it, they'll crack it within a day anyways.RareMonkey

So dont use a bad router then? It isnt a serious problem if you have a router that can handle upnp, which most modern routers can. BT Homehubs are absolutly garbage for gaming, I moved from BT because my Homehub wouldnt stop restarting constantly while gaming. I am on TalkTalk now with one of thier premium routers, I never get lag in games that I notice and all my game connect fine, I always have open NAT on PC and Xbox.If you have never had a problem with GFWL then you are extremely lucky, and I expect you are a minority. RareMonkeyWhat does being black have to do with any of this? Not a big fan of GFW, but I've never had major issues with it either. Definitely gonna get it...

The routers which do not work with GFWL are often absolutely fine in every other respect. People with these routers (supplied by their ISP) should not have to spend money just because of some poorly written DRM with major compatibility issues. Steam and Impulse do not have problems with these routers, it is purely a function of how terrible GFWL is.
The router issue is just one of the many issues that make GFWL atrocious, as I have mentioned. The only reason I can think of that anybody would actually want this trash slowing down and bugging up their game would be to collect gamerpoints. If you care enough to buy a new router and wade through the sea of other problems just to brag to your xbox friends then I think you are the one who is "sad". For the rest of us GFWL has no benefits, only drawbacks, which are often severe enough to stop us playing some portion of the game (e.g. problems with multiplayer have been mentioned several times in this thread).

lol.
Why, your not gonna buy a game just because it uses gfwl how sad is that?

Given that the last, and only time, I've ever had to use a game with GFWL it took me hours just to start the game I think I'll just skip the hassle and instead enjoy the multitude of other games I own on Steam, which hasn't given me a problem in years of use.
