Battlefield 2 and Steam?

Who here has BF 2 and Steam? What I wanna know is if Steam in-game works with BF 2. Also if Steam recognizes BF 2 and tells your friends if you're playing it.

It works on and off. Punkbuster usually kicks me for having a disallowed program (the steam overlay) running. For a few weeks at a time it seemed to work, especially right after steam updates.ColdfireTrilogy
