Hey guys. ive recently upgraded my PC and formatted it. and thought id try Bf2 to see how it would run.

anyways. ive installed it and everytime i either click on the audio tab in options or try to load a game

it crashes to desktop with no errors. ive installed the latest patch and that hasnt done the trick.. any ideas? thanks in advance :)

my specs are :

Geforce 7900GToc

Intel Core 2 Duo E4400

2GB DDRII ram

Windows vista ultimate 32bit

so far ive had NO problems on any other game.. and my old PC was fine with this game...

my brother also plays the game fine on his PC

Geforce 8800GTS

Core 2 Duo E6600

2GB DDRII ram

Windows vista ulitimate 32bit

soooooo... any ideas? thank you :)

You need to run Battlefield 2 in administrator mode. Right click - Run as Administrator. I prefer to turn UAC off.

Hmm, this is strange. Are you running anything else? Xfire, Gamespy, anything? If you're experiencing problems with this one thing now and nothing is helping, I suggest reinstalling the OS. It's good to do it early. I'm gonna try and help you fix it, but I really suggest reinstalling the OS because stuff like this will happen in other games as well, I can almost guarentee.

That would be a good start. Remember to restart. Also, if you haven't already, try running CCleaner after the uninstall.

MAKE SURE YOUR VIDEO DRIVERS ARE UP TO DATE !!!!! If that's not the case delete it from your registry and reinstall the game

AHH. Vista= Piece of crap.Try to run it as an administrator (you can do this by right clicking on the Battlefield 2 icon, and check the box that says "run as administrator". Hopefully this will solve the problem, I'm using vista right now and I did that, and now I have no problems.
