Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142???

I'm thinking of buying Battlefield 2 cuz i need a new game and its pretty cheap now, but I'm wondering if people still even play it or not, can someone tell me the approximate average number of players online?

Same goes with 2142, do a lot of people play that online compared to BF2?

Which should I get?

They both have the same style of weapons regardless of weither or not they are futuristic, but I believe the vehicles, the use of jump pods, and the Titan mode really does make 2142 worth more. It dosent have as many expansions, but that can be interpreted both ways, for or againsed.

Try the demos for each, I belive there are some, and decide for yourself.

Don't you just love Futureshop. BTW, you could get the Complete BF2 Collection for i think $40 at Futureshop. I'd go with BF2, more mods, more fun. I bought BF2142, and sold it about 2 months ago. Just got too boring, but definitely try the demos first.

IMO Battlefield 2 is the best by quite a bit!

If you like run and gun, then stick to cs,sof2,halo,wolfenstein etc etc

Yea, I agree I played a good amount of time on 2142, i got bored of it. I still play BF2 a LOT right now and its got 3 expansions. so get the $40 collection. 2142 is NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

vanilla BF2 is terrible now, filled with lamers, hacks and whatnot, Bf2142 is a bit better but I prefer more realism. SO I have Bf2 and play the Project Reality mod for it.
