Once you have BF2, do yourself a favor and head to http://www.texasteamplayers.com for a good community and a server where team playing is not only encouraged, but enforced, as well as a forum with a ton of people more than willing to help out newbies.
Its like $20 for the game and all the expansions. Although the only expansion people really play is Special Forces, but its still nice to have them all.
The online community is still big and booming, overall its a good game.
It's 8 dollars on Amazon. What a steal. I've been thinking of picking it up too. Do enough people play the original BF2, that is, with no expanion pack? Or is the Special Forces expansion pack necessary to play with the majority of the community?
