Anyone think the fat guy gamer from south parks world of warcraft episode is the only person working on and releasing patches for fps games lately? They dont even bother to check and see if any problems might occur. Just release it! who cares right? !!!

After the patch I randomly get disconnected from servers. This didn't happen before and I'm doubting whether it's the patch or my internet. I doubt the issue is my internet since I'm usually talking to friends on skype at the same time and the calls don't drop.

It seems to happen with every patch. Some people play fine > Patch > these people disconnections Some people have disconnections > Patch > Fixed

Yeah. It doesn't happen very often though. So I'm not really that bothered. I hope it gets fixed soon, anyways.

Pretty much the majority of players will crash after this latest patch, yes. Not just me, thousands of others. Really upsetting after all this time they still cant get a patch out that was actually tested before release.

HAVE or WILL?

Are you saying thousands of others are experiencing crashes? or that you think they WILL experience crashes?

As for this statement, of course they test it. It's just really hard with PC and so many different setups. Most PC games don't work 100% perfectly on every single system.

Yep, you need to select it from the task bar as fast as you can, wait several seconds and it'll crash.

I still get crashes this patch, especially when in vehicles or turning too quickly, but it usually happens at the beginning of matches as opposed to before where I'd often get crashes in middle of matches so it's a little better now. It's certainly not like 1.02 where I couldn't play the game at all.

Likewise... Check if maybe somethings up with Punkbuster. Usually when a game gets updated, it's recommended to update Punkbuster too since it's so finicky. Also try disabling the Origin Interface in-game. The POS causes way too many problems.

I'm not sure people are understanding. The game doesn't lock out, or toss me out. Its s crash. A full on BF3.exe has stopped working. I'm running an i7 960, 12gb of ram and an HD 6990 2gb, I run all my other games just fine on ultra, video settings dont matter, the game is crashing for thousands of players. Nobody knows why, still nobody knows why, and no word of a patch to fix THE PATCH THEY DID NOT TEST

No, they did not test it, otherwise it wouldnt be happening to thousands of players now would it?

Did you try disabling Origin Interface in-game. That POS can still crash your game.

Oddly my buddies have crashed several times, but whenever I THOUGHT I crashed, I just got kicked. Apparently doing 15 and 4 with a jet means its ok to kick me and not give a reason for it.

I never had a patch that didn't disconnect me from matches. I've been getting randomly disconnected from servers since day one. I am 100% sure DICE/EA will never fix it and I don't think they know how to.

Always. That's a no brainer for me. Their servers are just bad. I thought we all knew that? :P SWTOR and BF3, they're the only two games that give me connection issues. And they're both, yeah...EA. BC2 was the same. Things never change.

I still think it has something to do with Zones and IP Addressing (or something along those lines). On the flip-side, I've never had disconnection issues with EA Games. I played FIFA10-11-12, BFBC2, BF3, SWTOR.

Yeah, it's the zones and such. I game with Zubinen at least once a week on BF3 and he gets disconnected a lot. These days, I'm not getting dc'ed so much. Once in a while.

I should play with Aus then lol. I only filter North America (Canada and U.S.). Yeah, EA can't figure it out. hehe

I actually don't get disconnects as of the 1.04 patch but rather I get CTDs, i.e error messages with "BF3.exe has stopped working".

Because it is the most efficient anti-cheat system. Yeah, there are many things that can go wrong with it for some users, but it does what it does better than any other anti-cheat out.

As far as BF3 crashing, I have not had that happen to me yet. I do disconnect a lot, but that's because of my unstable internet. Good speed, crappy connection. :P

I have a custom-built pc for home-use, and my alienware for lots of travel. I have been experiencing quite a bit of disconnect issues latley on my alienware, but nothing major. However, this game is still broken for many pc users. My desktop can't run the game at all because it crashes around 30 seconds of gameplay in. All drivers updated, including BIOS, and it's a very high end pc (gtx 560ti OC'd 8gb ddr3 1600mhz). I found out that if you own a PALIT GTX 560 ti or many other versions of the 560 ti, it's about a 50% chance the game wont ever run for you without crashing every few seconds. I stoped trying to fix BF3 for my desktop after 3 months of searching for a fix. If you go on the bugs forum of battlelog people still **** about it.

DICE/EA really should get their priorities straight. This is a game-breaking bug for many people. Not to mention all the disconnects and everything else too. They should fix these higher profile problems before they fix more minor things such as animation flaws, but they wont.

Between all this I hear about the game crashing + games bugs + imbalance + the god awful battlelog, I can nearly go as far to say that BF3 was a failure. Sorry fans, I love BF3 cause it's heaps of fun, but these things are just unacceptable. (oh look Krelian, I spoke bad about an EA game....nooooooooooooo....I won't get my paycheck in now)

The mass amounts of people playing BF3 seem to say otherwise. Not sure how a game with a very large player base can be considered a failure.

No, I wasn't talking about sales or people playing. I was referring more towards the quality of the game.

I didn't say the game wasn't good. I even said the game was heaps of fun. I mean that the quality of the game services is really bad.
