Now I know that the requirements for BF3 have not been released, but based on what we know, will the AMD APU's, specifically the A6, be able to run BF3? Even at low settings?

If I am brutally honest, I think they will struggle, if not go completely berserk when handling 64+ players, heck, I don't think it'll be able to handle a 16-man server. Think about it, my HD 5670 struggles on BC2 LOL....so an APU would probably have no chance. Hope that helps :)Now I know that the requirements for BF3 have not been released, but based on what we know, will the AMD APU's, specifically the A6, be able to run BF3? Even at low settings?

Still haven't been released. I wish they'd pick it up a bit. biggest_loser
It's kind of annoying. I want to try and build a PC in time for the release, but I need to know the requirements so I can spend as little money as possible on the build.
Doesn't help that I need everything too (OS, moniter)

Combined with a 6670 it should be able to run BF3 just fine, especially since BF3 will actually be optimized since DICE has a decent development budget now. Oops, I mean the A8-3850 + an HD 6670, that supposedly runs games a lot better than the theoretical power of the hardware might suggest.

How much would a system like that set me back? Cause I'm trying to build a system that can BF3 while spending as little money as possible.Based off alpha something around a 460 and a quad will run it fine

I'm waiting for the beta to see if it runs on my computer before buying it. I have a GTX 260 and an AMD 2.8GHz 4 core. I hope it runs at least as good as BC2. I probably won't get if I have to put it on low/med.

It is kind of annoying actually. The beta is this month and there are LOTS of people buying new and upgrading just for this game. DICE have a big responsibility for that. They should at least give an estimate. Are they just not finished optimising etc.?
Also they said it wouldn't be as hardware intensive as Crysis was. So take that as you want

I'm willing to put it on med even low. I just want to be able to play it on PC and not the 360
Why do you need 32 GB of RAM? Are you hosting a server or something?GTX 590 SLI.

Wow, On my next build I plan on getting 12gigs, and that is mainly for music composing and recording.
32gb would be overkill even in that situation. I am curious what he is doing with that rig to need so much RAM for....
[QUOTE="Mehdi-Y"]Why do you need 32 GB of RAM? Are you hosting a server or something? lol, that part was just a little troll :D. Of course you don't need 32 GB of ram, that's madness. But I assume BF3 will require a hell of a system to run smoothly even it's been said to be utterly polished.GTX 590 SLI.

I just recently built a pc with an AMD A8-3850, still at 2.9ghz, with 8gigs of ram. I've been playing the battlefield 3 beta, and using the gpu on the APU, I've been getting 30-37 fps outdoors, and indoors, such as the metro map, I get 40-50. This is on auto settings, which is about the equivalent of medium settings, at what I believe is about a 720p resolution (can't remember exact resolution right now). I have played on Caspian Border, with 64 players, and it still handled it fine. I wouldn't be worried at all about running it with a 6670 xfire.
