Well guys, after playing about 3 "acts" or "chapters" in single-player campaign, I could see why it would be BF3's weakpoint. Derp. Scripted events galore. The jet level, you don't even get to pilot the jet! Seriously lame. Although certain parts did give me the chills like "Long Night of Solace" in Halo Reach. That's a GOOD thing. Overall, I'd say the campaign is on par with MW2's but probably not as good as COD4. I hate to use the comparison but I can't think of any other good SP first-person shooters. A lot of BF3's campaign, in terms of DESIGN, reminds me badly of Medal of Honor 2010.
The game is scripted down to the core. There is chapter where you need to man the turret. If you don't man the turret and choose to fire at the enemy with your own gun, the enemies will infinite spawn on you. If it wasn't for the indicator, I would have kept kill enemies. Stupid. It's exactly like that suppression level where you suppress the enemy turret while your teammate A.I. flanks the enemy.
I wasn't wrong when I said that this game borrows heavily from Medal of Honor 2010. EA Danger Close probably consists of DICE employees, I bet. Oh well. Still high production. Oh, another level where you bomb, destroy jets and enemies from up above.... just like Medal of Honor 2010. Man, that isn't good. I can now see why they ding'ed the game for the SP campaign, because it didn't even try to be BF3. It tried too hard to be MOH. I would even go as far as to say that Bad Company 2's campaign was better. Or MW2's campaign was better. Oh well I guess. This is why I only care for the multiplayer now.
As far as the technicality and graphics goes.. it reminds me so much of MOH mixed with Crysis 2... but sharper and more crisp. Games nowadays borrows each other heavily on HDR, bloom, and lighting. It's no wonder why one reviewer said, BF3 is located on the SUN. :P
