Ive been playing this game for a couple of days and it seems to be pretty cool. Granted its nothing to marvel at visually, but it gets the job done. What are your opinions of this game? Is it worth it to buy the Battlefunds to bump up your guys?

The gameplay is pretty good. Weapons shot and hit nicely, also handle well. Maps are good. Vehicle combat is fun, and visuals are meh. What you expect for F2P tho

It's awful. Hit detection is incredibly bad. Everything about the game is bland, and doesn't have any of the fun i felt in other battlefield games.

What's the difference between this and one of the paid ones?

The shooting is vastly improved in F2P. In battlefield 2 the guns are absolutely wack for lack of a better word. No one even uses them anymore. They just run around with rocket launchers instead. I think that's what they do in real combat too though right?

It lacks any polish, feels boring, looks dull and plays dull. Doesnt have the smoothness, graphics or gameplay of the newer shooters or even BF2 imo. And you are limited to only to classes and can't switch mid game. And it being a "free to play game" is a bad excuse. The idea behind it is to make money, it should be just as good as any other, I havent played it since launch, but the biggest turn-off for me was the lag, and no dedicated server browser. The lag may have been fixed if more people play, but i have no doubt it still bad.

tbh, the best f2p game i've played. thats not saying much, though, if you see its competition. the 5 rounds i played a few weeks ago weren't all that bad.

It's ok game, I been playing it for couple day racking up combat points or whatever there called that allows you to rent most of the premium weapons. The talent trees are neat idea that I'm new to. Then again I'm type of person I play a free game for as long as I can without spending any money. Customizing my character is cool but I'm not gonna drops some cash on it. Leveling seems to slow down a bit after level 6 or 7.

This, it's not even decent compared to what's available, for a price, but it's without a doubt the best F2P FPS of its kind (BFH would be the 2nd, because you actually have to buy things in it, with what you earn, or real money).

Its... bad. why they decided to do this I dont know. they could of at least put effort into it if they wanted to push the free2play market.

Wait, there's a paid aspect to the game? Does buying stuff with money give much of an advantage over people who don't pay? I was going to try it, but I won't if it's unbalanced.

Any free game is unbalanced, because money gets you better items, weapons, etc, from slightly better to way better.

Yes, but I wondering how they have implemented it. Like, can you eventually get the paid items for free (some games do this), do are there items that can only be obtained via buying them.

It's just like BF H, you get points that are used as currency to buy just weapons for 1 or 3 days, if you want to own them for 1 month or forever you have to actually pay for them, anything for character customization costs real money. With everything purchased, this game costs as much as two retail games at the usual full price, yet it lacks in every aspect. I hate the limited time thing BF H started and I certainly will not pay for weapons and clothes for such a mediocre game. It's enjoyable for casual fun, some friends convinced me to play with them a few rounds and for a free game is decent, for a free FPS game it's great, but as a game and how microtransactions work in it, it's horrible, at least BF H has something to offer through the animated style but I really don't see why somebody would want to play BF P4F when BF 2 complete costs 10$.

Ahh, thanks for the info. I think I'll just stick to BC2 for my Battlefield fix :P.

Its a great little game. You can play without paying anything, the graphics are really nice for a browser game, the gameplay is smooth, the matchmaking is pretty much instant, it has the battlefield feel, the vechicles are great and most importantly (although it can be seen as a bad thing by some) its alot easier to shoot someone than in BF2. I love being the medic as much as I did in the original BF2. Still in the long run it may be a bit too easy. In BF2 I am an avarage player I think, in BFP4F Im pretty much always on top.

i dont think this game will do well because i believe most people will just play without spending real life money. if you dont spend real life money, you're bound to 2 character slots. which means you can only play as 2 classes. and there may be a possibility that you play a game where your entire team will be composed of all medics. and you cant switch classes until the match ends.

Ive played for a few hours and I have to say that the problem with one class teams is a bit overblown. The matches I have played was quite balanced. Quite frankly there were less snipers than in a typical BF2 match. As for the money issue I read somewhere that F2P game makers expect only 10% of the players to actually spend money and apprently that is more than enough to justify the game.
