That's just how it is. If you're disappointed then you are. Not much you can change about it. Luckily it's all about MP with BF3

Why you people keep complaining about Bf3's campaign? Bf didn't even have a campaign till Bad Company. It's like whining about story of an MMO. Also BC2's campaign was nothing more than killing enemies between checkpoints.

Battlefield 3 has been marketed mainly as a multiplayer game. The single player campaign is secondary.

I agree. It was fairly lackluster too, But at least it knew not to take itself too seriously. BF3's campaign is a more serious affair and DICE can't really write a serious story. It's alright and a bit of fun it just very little to keep you interested. Good ideas but poorly executed.

I do like how it tries to be a real soldier affair, like doing real soldier things like checking your "flaps and stabs" in the jet mission and the guns etc. Mundane but it tries to make you feel like a real soldier and not breezing over the essential things that pilots have to do.

Sadly its true.

Bad Company and BC2 both had better campaigns, but it also meant DICE didn't focus on multiplayer as much with their resources stretched across making both modes of good quality.

BF3 focused more on set pieces and cinematics and graphics, but in the end it turned the levels into linear corridor fests with no choice and a QTE every 5 minutes.

Just if you ever feel like playing a good single player shooter, go pop in Crysis and forget BF3 ever had a campaign.

The campaign is pathetic and offers nothing of what BF3 can really do. A wasted opportunity because visually its stunning.

Too many quick time events, too many overblown set pieces (an earth quake in the middle of a fire fight, convenient), too much repetition and gruff gruff talk.

This might sound ironic since I enjoyed Bulletstorm recently lol but I found the whole 'oh **** we have to get the **** out of here' in BF3 REALLY tiring.

Exactly, look at Crysis's campaign.

If EA could give DICE a decent single player team to do the SP while DICE worked on the multiplayer, it would be amazing. Its not like they can't, they did that with Medal of Honor (though MOH sucked and I wouldn't use Respawn for a BF campaign).

If I was EA, I'd have Crytek drop whatever the hell they're doing and get to work on a semi open, super destructive, 12 hour long campaign chock full of helicopter flying and vehicle using and 4 player co-op and just throw money at both teams. Like literally, just have engineers create a gun, that shoots money at the teams because I'm the CEO of EA and you can't stop me busters!!

IMO For Multiplayer games, there is no need to concentrate on graphics, Basic graphics is the best options (ex: counterstrike),

'cause people think more of killing opposite members rather than graphics around us........

But for campaign as a single player,, we will look more intoGraphics, humor between team members, and intelligent tactics....

which BFBC 2,BF3,etc..... succeeded,

for straight killing, I personally opt for crysis,MW3,etc.....

I thought BC2 had a really fun campaign, agree with other posters BF3 missed the boat with it's campaign.
