I never played the original Battlefronts (didn't have Internet back then), but I thought THIS would be worth seeing for all you fans (even if it makes you sad).
Don't loose hope, there still might be a BF3 in the future...

Had to go play some more BF2 after watching this. It's a real shame though, Battlefront was a series that could have really benefited from the improved tech this gen.
Agreed. And these Battlefront 3 vids, no matter how old they were, looks plastic and cheap. I'd like to see it made properly or don't make one at all.I have always wanted a battlefront 3, but only if they were ging to iron it out more. While SWBF1 and 2 were good, they felt very plastic and cheap.

I'm still clinging onto hope that the game will be made, even if it's false hope. Now that LucasArts no longer exists maybe someone will pick up the rights to make another.Â

[QUOTE="MBirdy88"]They should just license it to DICE tbh.IantheoneWhile I would love to see a new Sci-fi Dice game, I dont think BattleFront is something they could do right. You will be suprised..... BF2142 was a good sci fi battlefield ..... also, mirrors edge is proov they can make other games. I think they have a better chance than other devs.
EA has snapped up the license to make SW games from Disney this weekend. We could very well still see battlefront 3 if EA deem it financially viable.
If you're into realistic shooters with vehicles you can play ArmA II or DayZ mod. At least it has VoIP so you can chat with other random people in the server. The VoIP also works in proximity to other players, like if you're in a car together or sniping on a hill. The maps in DayZ are like 26 kilometers squared. So much damn fun. Battlefield 3 is a damn joke compared to this.SKaREO
thanks for not reading the title or thread correctly

Well, wasn't Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast set after the movies?I agree a new battlefront would have been great.Â
Â
Though the Star Wars game I want to see prolly won't get made for some time....
A game with the mechanics like Kotor, but set after all the movies. After Luke gets the new academy up, and going.

Yes the Jedi Knight series is after the movies, however they are not RPG with the mechanics like KOTOR.

True that. Maybe KOTOR 3 CAN exist in parallels to SWTOR, set after the movies. But just wait till the new movies come out....you'll see plenty of games then.[QUOTE="Lach0121"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"] Well, wasn't Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast set after the movies?FelipeInside

I have read the trilogy of books that takes place right after Episode 6 (the Thrawn trilogy). They were fantastic, more than likely the area in which the next movies will cover.. However  the setting of the RPG it will have to be a little later in the time-line for it to work. Just to the point where the Academy is more established.Â
