the ebta requirements have been adjsuted for battlefield 3

here they are:

miimum:

vista 32-bit

core 2 duo 2.4ghz/ athlon x2 2.7ghz

2gb ram

hd 3870 or better/nvidia 8800gt or better

recommended:

windows 7 64-bit

4gb ram

any quad core cpu (intel or amd)

gtx 560 (no ti)/ hd 6950 (1gb)

game-debate adjusted system requirements (based on game-debates assesment of a playing of the game, what you would need for medium or high (varying on reso.))

win7 64-bit

4gb ram

any core 2 quad 2.1ghz or better/ amd phenom I x4 9650 or better

amd hd 3870 / nvidia 9800gtx+

as you can see dx9 has been done away with, and so has support for the hd 2000 series.

My GPU is just under the reccomended, but I plan on upgrading to the best single GPU card next gen so no worries.

I figure the game (final release) it will change again.

I figure the game will have close to the same requirements as BFBC2, except with the GPU, the GPU will be taxed a little more, but honestly not a whole lot more. I have a Phenom II 945, 4 gigs of DDR2 ram, and a GTX570, I expect to be able to Max it at 1080p, or atleast run it on High at great framerate... If not, I may just pass on it. Until I get a better rig. (and no I won't be missing out, tons of other games, and if BF3 is that good, it will still have a large community when I go to get it)

6950 is even better than a 560 Ti...

I hit the high. A GTX 470 is more powerful than the GTX 560. I think my i7 930 will eat this game alive.

EA works with Nvidia more. Their engine's are usually bit better optimized for Nvidia cards.

No I am going to WAIT on a game for A. I want to play it how I want.

B. because there are plenty of other great games, that I can play how I want.

Like I said in a previous post, I won't be missing out on anythign, if it is good, it will still have a large community when I go to play it.

It isn't that difficult of a concept to grasp.

I am actually getting tired of Military FPS lately, and wouldn't mind a break. Over satuation lately.

I am looking more towards Rage, SWTOR, Diablo III, and Batman for games that are coming out.

I have plenty of games already that I haven't finished, that I should.

I wasn't planning on getting it right away period. If the performance is like stated above, then that is extra icing on the cake.

Now I must say, if there is anymore "still" it is on you.

Im far and above those requirements so far, no problems for me. Still cant wait for the final game requirements.

I've never quite understood this frame of mind. If BF3 at med-high looks better than any game ever made than you'd pass on it because you can't run it on Ultra?
