just a little over 100 is the 8600 GT, its a midranged card that should play games okay.

Again for slightly more I'd get the 7900 GS. It doesn't do DX10 but then again at this point who cares. If you want a good fast DX9 card for around 100 that's what I'd get.

Again for slightly more I'd get the 7900 GS. It doesn't do DX10 but then again at this point who cares. If you want a good fast DX9 card for around 100 that's what I'd get.rgsniper1

If i wanted to play Hd-dvd or Blu-ray on my PC through a DVI connection, does that mean i need a HDCP video card?

No but for 20$ more 7900GS is much better valuet than X1900GT

Exactly the cheapest one is $25 more for the same performance at stock. And when we are talking about a card around 100, 25 is a lot.

Not everyone overclocks....at least video cards,X1900GT for $95 is much better than 7900GS,only a idiot would spend more money for a card that overclocks better while having SIMILAR performance at stock.

P.S. PNY and (Maybe) BFG don't cover OCing.

Rebate = fail.

Get the X1900GT if your power supply is up to it, a decent 350W or so with around 20 amps on the 12V+ rail should do.

X1900GT definitely,but if your PSU has only like 18A on the 12V rail,then you're better off with a 8600GT.
