What do you think is the best one? I'm NOT under ANY circumstances using Norton again, im finally free from its slowness in 30 days.

AVG 7.5 Free edition. Uses very little system resources, and works very well.

Kaspersky is really nice ....simple and very effective.

Kaspersky has the best detection rate of all the non-free AV suites.

For free AV, go with Avira:

The best 3 programs that I have running here spread over a couple of PC's are AVG, Avast and Clamwin. All of them are freeware. AVG is good for above average desktop users, Avast is a bit less hard, Clamwin has lots of options and is used sometimes for servers (it's basically a Linux client with a windows shell) and is more focused on experiences users, it's options are sometimes complicated. Of those 3, all of them have almost the same resource demand footprint, Clamwin being the least resource hog while AVG and Avast being equal in resource usage, a bit higher then Clamwin.

Nod32 is the best, i like it alot more than kasperky it almost killed my computer, thought every application running was a virus!

I really liked NOD32 when I had it. I need to find it again and convince my family to switch from Norton.
