Why don't you just look around for trustworthy brands in your price range? Just don't buy from a brand you've never heard of, they don't tend to last long.

And it depends how wide you want the screen to be.

The tv I'm using for my pc monitor (which before now I used as an actual tv) was something like $349 I think? And it comes with a built in dvd player and outputs at 720p and it's an 19" by insignia from Best Buy. Whether they still have them there I'm not sure but you can still look.

ok, what size are you looking for? or do are you out for "biggest money can buy"?

do you care about plamsa vs lcd? for that matter are you blu-ray / gamer?

do you care about 720p/1080p? do you understand the difference?

You are not going to find a 1080p plasma at that price range. You can try the Samsung T200HD, T220HD, or T240HD. 1080p LCD tvs that also sport computer inputs.

at $400 and a flat panel, you're going to get a smaller LCD. How small, depends on what you want more.

Is 1080p a requirement? or will 720p suffice?

what is more important to you, size or picture quality?

Do you have a minimum size that you want to go for? 19", 24" bigger or somewhere inbetween?

also, are you going to be using this for anything other than gaming? as in watching TV. If not, you could get a LCD monitor with an HDMI input and use it as your PS3 screen and also a PC monitor. I think you'd get more bang for your buck.

Plasma and the best out of my money..Kill_My_Self

In that range your getting LCD. The cheapest plasmas are about $1000.

I suggest this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889253123

32" is the best size without having to redo the room its going in
