Are you trying to build it, or buy it pre-built? You'll be able to get much better performance and parts out of a system you build yourself.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

-You can always get an Intel C2D processor and an ASUS motherboard for Intel processor, if you want. You can get intel C2D E6600 and P5N or P5W motherboard.

-If you have small monitor, i'd prefer you, to get Nvidia 8800GTS 320mb, the card is really cheap and i recommend you, it costs you much much less.

The thing is with building your own pc, yes it is cheaper but your not covered for warranties on most of your parts, if a part doesn't work your going to have a pain replacing it, I was going to buy a built computer from gateway, I know I know its about 300 more, but it is covered for 3 years on damaged parts and 3 years on any accidental damage.

Actually Antec piano series (i have one too) have special cooler included (at least I had) which cools the motherboard and processor, and the fan is cooling the GFX card. And it's quiet as mouse.

you can get this CASE with 500W PSU. It's just few bucks more expensive, it has window.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144089

But i'd still recommend you the quiet ANTEC, but, as you wish ;)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 - $186
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115016

Motherboard: Foxconn P35A - $115 (after $20 rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186119

RAM: 2GB of Crucial Ballstix DDR2-800 - $70 (after $45 rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146565

GPU: EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB - $260 (after $20 rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130082

PSU: Seasonic S12 500w PSU -$95 (after $30 mail in rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151029

DVD-RW: Lite ON Black SATA DVD-RW - $38
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106057

HDD: Western Digital 250 GB SE16 - $70
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144701

Case: Lian Li AluminiumPC-7SB - $100 (you can choose whatever case you want actually)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112138

Optional/Other Stuff:
Floppy Disk Drive
CPU Cooler (needed for overclocks beyond 3GHz)
Monitor
Keyboard and Mouse
Speakers/Headphones
Operating System (if not already purchased)

Grand Total (including mail in rebates):
$ 934

With that much spare money from your budget, you could probably upgrade the CPU to an E6600 or the GPU to a 2900 XT.

Also, Intel will be bringing a fair amount of price cuts on July the 22nd. The price cuts will see the Q6600 drop down to around $300 (RRP), so you may want to wait for that if you're not in a hurry.
