High I was wondering what the best cooling case under £100 is at the moment. id prefer it if it was big - mid tower or tower. And prefferablly with lots of fan bays - dont mind if it actually only has 3+ fans but would help if it had alot of bays so i can put in higher quality fans. No water cooling please. Alot of people have told me the Antec 900 and thats what im probably going for unless someone changes my mind. Lots of bays please!!

antec 900 is easiest and still not too expensive. 1200 is effectively the same thing but bigger... the 300 probably doesn't cool as well, but is smaller.

you need that front grill arangement for the best air coooling so you can fuill it up with 120mm delta fan, the 1200 just has a slightly bigger one than the 900

Are you planning to do a lot of overclocking? If you don't want your PC to sound like a freight train then you may only need a much cheaper case. For comparison: I have a Q6600 at 3GHz, RAM at 832MHz and a 4870 all in a mATX case with only two case fans on minimum speed. The case never goes over 30 degrees. and no components are even close to overheating. Of course, if you still feel like you need the extra cooling or extra room (for mods :D) then the Antex 900/1200 are good choices. Just remember: airflow in one direction only, front to back is best. I used to have a case where the airflow from front to back was good enough to spin a case fan on the side without it being on lol.

Anybody got the model name for the case that acted as a giant heatsink without the need of fans?

Nope, but I do have a link to a really "cool" pc, which might make the OP change their minds about the power of liquid cooling lol: http://www.hardcorecomputer.com/

i think with a series of delta fans in there you'ld have the same problem plus the risk of you're pc taking off, they're the only fan i know of which can actually move themselves around, 190CFM FTW :P

errm yeah... why wold you want 190 cfm CASE fans, that are 60+DB and are expensive... you'd be better off with ultra kaze's 2000 rpm on the case and a couple of 3000 's on the CPU cooler

I swear by Zalman's CNPS series for cooling components. They are silent and fairly cheap. Also, check out Scythe for silent case fans. I agree 100% with GTR2Addict 60+DB is far too loud and 190 CFM is at best excessive for cooling the average PC.

Trust me, I don't doubt that - alot of people have said that to me. I just don't want to bust the £700 mark even if it's buy £20-£30. I'll take another look and If i change my mind I'll let u guys know lol :D. Thx, also, do you guys know of any cases that have LCD Temperature Displays? Cuz that'd look damn cool lol (apart from the NZXT lexa and Lexa Blackline)

Built in then it will cost you loads but you can buy read outs that fit into a spare optical drive bay.

Coolermaster Stacker 830 - Best case I've ever used in 5 builds and 4 rebuilds. Big, easy to work in and cool as the other side of the pillow.

Ok. I've read alot of reviews on the 1200 and ive decided. I WANT THAT CASE! :(. It's so expensive though - I was gonna go for the 900 and the 1200 costs another £45, the price of a low quality case added on :( Any1 know where I can get one thats cheap? Tried SCAN and e-Buyer.

I still do maintain that the Nine Hundred will cool just about as well, in practice. It is also a huge wind tunnel with multiple huge fans. Being forced to go with a full tower is still kind of =\ to me... I'm using a P180 myself, and wish it were the tinist shade smaller haha.

yep antec 300, 900 and presumably the other 1200 (no experience with that one) have lots of room for fans. i've got 5 fans keeping it chilly in my 300 case.
