It's a FPS with RPG elements but it's a great game nevertheless! Make sure you get the GOTY edition with all the DLC's. You can play Borderlands in co-op with four people (you + 3 others) and there are a lot of fun things to do.

imagine playing l4d1 or 2 with only 3 characters and the third person was piggybacking for the achievements he wasnt actually doing anything. oh and if he died you failed.

Ah, except for Borderlands and Left 4 Dead? :) . Me and my friend have already played both for countless hours. Uh, I'll check out the Half Life stuff, thanks. Anything else? Oh and yeah, trying to convince him to try D2 but he's being stubborn. I also didn't find Guild Wars very enjoyable :(
