wait wait wait, do you have 600 bucks for JUST a mobo and cpu? or do you mean the entire system. You weren't very clear on that

alright, well it really depends on what you want. You can get a good 2GB of RAM for about 50 bucks, a good processor and mobo (for your budget) for about 200 or 250, a decent Video Card for about 100 or less, a very cheap case for easily around 30 bucks, a psu for about 60 bucks, and a good hard drive for about 80 bucks. It adds up to about 600 or so bucks. I know you probably were asking for specific parts, but thats something you probably want to do yourself, go to Newegg and say hi to computer parts galore!

Im getting all of my parts from newegg I was asking because I dont know much about CPUs and MBs theres alot of them :\

If Someone could help me figure out what would be the best for my budget I can probably figure out the rest on my own. And I also need an OS so thats a good chunk off the budget.

If anything atleast how do I know if the CPU is compatible with a MB

First of all, you have to know what cpu your getting, either AMD or Intel. After that, look at the processor, and it should have a certain match up, the most common being "LGA 775". So if your mobo says "Intel Mobo, LGA 775" then your good.
