You made a thread a minute before this with a £80 budget.

Dude, that was for his graphics card. He wants to use 80 pounds for his graphics card, and 100 pounds for his CPU.

FX6300 might be a few pounds over but worth it.

After comparing i3 and fx cpus of similar price on cpubenchmark.net it seems that the fx cpus have better performance than the i3s. Is this true and if so why would you recommend intel over amd? I am looking at buying the components from the website below and would appreciate if someone could recommend a specific fx or intel cpu. Thanks http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/cpus-amd/all

It is factually proven that Intel CPUs are more efficient when it comes to performance.

i3 vs FX6300 depends on the software. Anything properly threaded will run better on the FX, anything badly threaded will run better on the i3.

Whenever you see somebody call somebody else a fanboy, you know you're reading a fanboy. Intel is better, like it or not. AMD is cheaper. I've used both.
