Just curious...
And I have never played the Gold Box games so I only listed the games I am familiar with in the poll.
I suppose I could add Dungeons and Dragons Online, or Dragonshard (RTS but still kinda fun).
Feel free to write in any games.

while I loved all those games on the list, for SP as well as Multiplayer, Nevewinter Nights IMO is the best. NWN 2 isn't bad either although not as good(expansion packs are better), and the online community is starting to get bigger.
Torment is the best game of the lot, but Neverwinter Nights (playing online) probably gets the closest to PnP Dungeons and Dragons.

Hey bud! I kinda agree with your sentiments...NWN's online does allow for some really good DnD fun...though I wish the SP parts were a bit better. I always played them as a more "hack and slash" type experience :P Good list though, OP.
You know I always thought ToEE never got as much credit as it deserved. It did have some terrible bugs, but the actual mechanics in the game were great. There was a lot of options in and out of combat that you don't see very often today.
well sinc ethis is about forgotten realms ill say rolling my first character for proper Adv. D&D god i miss those days of the paper n dice.
I never tried NWN online. Do you have to be really good? Is it hard to find a pick up group?StowikYou can find decent community even today. :P
Baldur's Gate 2 > Planescape Torment > Baldur's Gate
....for the sake of BG2 I picked Baldurs Gate series
I haven't played Temple of Elemental Evil, I wonder if it works on Vista, hmmm...
lol, I have the book module of ToEE stored away somewhere, written by Gygax of course
