Well, its not for home use.. its for in college - The computers are pretty decent when its comes to memory and CPU.
I'd say that you should first try the game demos before you decide to buy one... try Quake4, if it performs horrible even in the lower settings.. then try Quake3. BF 2 will surely run on your PC but i don't know how well. Also try F.E.A.R... it has free multiplayer & 2 SP/MP demos. Half Life 2 will run good enough.. there is a demo for that too. Games powered by UnrealEngine3 will perfrom horrible... & Crysis may even refuse to install itself on your PC which has no gfx card lol. Also try Call Of Duty 2.....
