Best FPS EVER!!!!

If u are tired of generic games such as Halo, Battlefield, Call of Duty and all other fps games that has a muscle guy as protagonist that says FACK every 5 minutes or the universe is based in the 2nd world war or a futuristic world infested with aliens....here is the game id like to recommend:

No One Lives Forever!!!!

You play as a 60's female spy named Cate Archer, the game has a very funny story, you will laugh from beginning to end!!! The game has so much action, there are moments you'll never forget such as the sniping level in Marrocco, thefunny interview with Baron Dumass, the parachute and the Cable Car runaway level..not to mention the funny super bosses!!!

The game graphics are dated, it was a 2000 release, but handles well today cuz the art direction is superb, has an awesome soundtrack and the voice acting is

one of best ever!!!

If you missed this masterpiece ure not a true PC gamer lol

NOLF deserves to stay with the best series, i cant believe it was so ignored by players

It was claimed by critics and won several GOTY, even here at GS got a 9.3 score, the hightest for PC in 2000

a sequel was released named NOLF2: A Spy in HARMS way..and got very high scores from critics and many GOTY too

A true gem, NOLF is by far my favourite FPS of all time along with Goldeneye 007

Yes the game WAS good, back in Y2K. But best FPS ever is giving it a little more credit than it deserves. Oh and you must REALLY love the game, based on your profile name.

NOLF is the kind of game that has passed through the test of time..and yes i love the game cuz its freaking awesome :)

lets see all these Call of Duty, Crysis, Gears of War and all other games that has the SAME graphics, SAME storyline, SAME characters, SAME gameplay, SAME textures, and dont differ much from each other in 10 years

I don't see that happen any time soon. Currently FPS the whole genre is united under an aura of self-seriousness, witless writing and pointless free roaming.

Best FPS ever?

The original doom series - the rest merely tried to copy it.

Seriously though, Doom had modding, custom maps you create at home and bring to the netcafe ;D or you could link playstations and play co-op - Halo didn't have co-op on pc.

Atmosphere and sound effects top notch. Also the strafe fighting, cover and fire worked exceptionally well, I guess you'd call it well balanced.

I can't believe how they failed with Doom 3. I guess it is like GTA eh, one good idea per life time - then it becomes a treadmill, game companies trying to divert attention to graphics because they lack the skills for innovation.

Overlooking the physics in IV, there isn't a single new feature, in fact, they reduced everything and copied a city, pretty symbolic for the whole gaming industry.

In conclusion, the lack of pioneering and innovation sets us back about 10 years, making Doom the champ

Yeah, the games are great.

Though, for me Deus Ex is the best FPS of all time.

The Orginal Doom is da best.

Without it we pretty much wouldnt have that many great FPS's as we have now.

what is Call of Duty 4?

another FPS with the same war theme.... theres nothing special about it, besides the graphics that are awesome, but will be dated one day..and the story is just mediocre

Call of Duty offers the same experience as any other of the many war based FPS out there..and thats getting boring...while NOLF remains unique, with a funny story, stylish characters and a great single player experience that will be remembered forever by those who played it

i just hope Monolith give up of FEAR series for a while and comes with a new NOLF to revigorate the genre like NOLF1 did before

Duke Nukem was a bit original...but is another series in the limbo....i think its one of a few FPS that dont use world war theme or futuristic theme...has aliens and monsters tough lol...

but nothing in game comes close to NOLF in terms of art, story and humour..things that are being ignored by developers these days

why CoD4 is my best? because I like modern weapons, and the theme suits me well, other than that those great those great in game cinematics, the multiplayer isn't quite as good as the 1st CoD game had but that's ok they've tried to do some small map combat - something different

and yes Crysis multiplayer surely beats evey Battlefield syle games on the multiplayer nowdays
