ArmA Armed Assault (Flashpoint sequel) -I've been converted after playing the demo online for hours. Sadly, the full release isn't until May. I've played Battlefield, CoD, ..., but ArmA is in another league to me. It's not for everyone because it is 1 shot 1 kill realistic, but the realisim creates tense battles and situations where you darn well need co-op backup, and assault plans. This is not a game for 'bunnyhopping'. The Island has 400 square kilomteres of complex terrain, tanks, Blackhawks, Hummers, and the graphics look more real world to me than similar games. In ArmA, mountians a mile away look it, and are to scale. The full release will allow battles of something like a 100 players. The interface took a little while to get used to (like controlling AI squad mates), but if anyone is looking for realisitc combat in a game, try the ArmA demo.

I will have to say the Battlefield seires with Battlefield 2142 being the best. There is no other PC FPS that I can continue playing. All the others get boring in no time.
Unreal tournament is the funnest, css the most... erm... terrorist ridden, and hl2 is great but no one plays it and the servers are laggy for people in Australia.

2nd after CS: S is F.E.A.R. Combat (which is btw free to download) With all due respect but F.E.A.R. Combat sucks. The single player game is great though

Combat delivers same fast action FPS as in CS: S , and graphics are good - so idk why it sucks for you, maybe because you're lame at the mp in Combat? if that's the reason then don't play it but don't say it sucks
as other have said, either BF 2 or 2142 would be your best bets. however, R6: Vegas is also a really good MP FPS. so, if you're into something more tactical, i would highly suggest it.
BF series is the only way you can go if youve already played CS:S.Swiftstrike5
I agree, BF2 and BF 2142 are a whole bunch of fun despite the occasional bug.
If you want a really good game thats a little under the radar, then I also suggest Joint Operations. 140+ people on a big indonesian jungle map with helicopters, trucks, and tanks (if you get the expansion) is a lot of fun. Best game to be a sniper in, too.
