I'm looking for an MMO that could be downloaded from the web. I would perfer something like WoW can be either future past or present not important. I would perfer a MMORPG but MMOFPS is fine. I've played Silkroad Before so plz try not to mention that. Thanks!DiabeticDood
Any game of that quality will cost you. Sorry to sound negative, but most free MMO's are total crap :|.
you can take a shot at these:
-sho online are actually really good, especially the PvP, the gameplay is really fun, (I'm an archer) and PvP is balanced,
-Eudemons Online It is like playing Diablo2, but with Pokemon
-2moonsare good games with good grahpic, the fighting system is pretty entertaining.
-Bounty Bay Online a free Pirate Online Game.

Agreed. Great game.
There's no such thing as a totally free MMO. Sooner or later you're gonna have to pay to get some vital items which are necessary for you to level up. It's the devs way of attracting players. They say it's free but then you have to spend cash to buy powerful items after sometime. How do you think they were gonna pay for keeping all their servers up?Kuyt19
Some of them might be like that, but this is just untrue. They don't need everyone to buy their stuff to be profitable. They only need a certain threshold number of users to do it to be profitable. This is a fairly common business tactic really, doing something that you know you will lose money with on some or maybe even most customers on an individual basis, but will most likely make money over the set of all customers. Stores advertising some great price on some item that they are selling below their cost is a common example of this. They just want to get people into the store. They know some people will make them lose money, but it's offset by the people which they make money from.

Okay, maybe i don't know about all "free" MMOs, but every one of thoes i tried had some kind of payment( real payment, mind you) to be made to get the good stuff. And by "good stuff", i mean those powerful skills, unique weapons, important armour, etc. Maybe in some games you don't need to get those to level up, but that doesn't change the fact that there are things within the game that are not really "free". I'm not trying to sound like a pessimist but when they say "free", i want all of it to be really "free", not just half of it. Otherwise, they're just liars. If i wanted to spend money in the first place, i'd go for WoW, and not some second-class MMO.
