Best Free MMORPG

I use to play RS, but if anyone has had recent experience with the game, you will know how horrible it is becoming.

So I'm looking for a new RPG to player, I'd be looking for something with more than just PVP. Skills ect.

I was looking at L.o.L. but after realising that it wasn't an open world but instead small maps that you cycle through, I'm not really interested in it anymore.

I'd like something with pretty nice looking graphics and most importantly a large player base.

I was looking into Runes of Magic.

Is the free version for this good? Will it keep you going for a while?

How many players could you expect on Runes of Magic at any one time?

Runes of magic is really good. I played it alot before i got my new computor. It has awsome pvp but the pve is great to.

Also i know what youmean about RS. Its gotten pretty bad since that graphic update :( That just started crappy updates like dungoniering.

Runes of Magic is probably the best one ATM.

Runes of Magic is pretty good.. but I'd check out Mabinogi.

Allods is the best free MMO out there

Runes Of Magic i am completely addictive to it...has a great Everquest..WoW.Vibe but free and with a great community...F2P and Free to download you can't go wrong with a try i would play on a crowded server like RENI.

Runes of Magic is the best if you aren't paying anything in my opinion.

Everquest 2 also has a f2p part now as well.

Id have to suggest Maplestory to this. It may only be 2D graphics, but the art style is graphically pleasing. There is a ton of people who play it, and the gameplay itself is pretty addicting. It's definitely a must to atleast check out IMO.

Dungeons & Dragons... I'm suprised nobody has mentioned that. But yeah, I'd say the free versions of Everquest 2, Dungeons & Dragons and now LOTRO.Wakanoid

I have a friend who swears by Vindictus, don't do F2P mmos myself but it may suite you.

Dungeons & Dragons has free play,yes,but you can't leavethe starting port without your wallet.They don't tell you this,i found out the hard way.The game was fun though,and you'll get many hours of play before that happens.

Lord of the rings is much the same.I'm currently playing it,and allready see getting past weathertop will be a problem.Quests are withheld unless you have the turbine points to unlock the 'packages'.DON'T buy a mount,and get all kills etc might save me enough points to open some..maybe all of these areas...much better than D&D in this sense.

The point is...these titles are NOT free really,and they shouldn't be advertised as such. :evil:

I feel that Atlantica Online is worthy of a mention. Only turn based mmo i have ever seen.

Vindictus is very good too..won many best free mmo of the year awards this year
