Best Free to play MMO list?

I know I had made fun of eastern MMOs... a lot. But they are getting better, and I need a WoW fix that isn't so expensive. ($30 may be cheap for two months, but I like to play less often and I play about 1 week a month. $30 for two WEEKS is.) A eastern MMO I really did like was Metin 2 but the lag ruined it, especially since the community was SMALL! Suck at server management much? :evil: You may use as big a list you want for each thing and may reuse whatever game you want for each list. If you are going use a MMO you didn't really like but going to post anyone just because it's all you played, just don't.

Do NOT say Guild wars it is not a MMO and it's buy to play not free to play. You could downloaded a MMO, try it for 5 minutes, then delete it. In Guild Wars it's different because you still payed for it, from a one time guarantee payment of course it would likely be better.

I like Guild Wars. The sequel is coming out soon and you should pick it up. No monthly fee and great graphics, along w/ lots of monsters to kill and stuff to do. It's a skill-based game, so you reach the level cap fairly early in the game...Lord__Darkstorn

1.Guild Was is not a MMO, everything is instanced. a MMO is when hundreds or even thousands of players can see and interact with each other, even in caves and hunting grounds.

2.It's not free to play it's buy to play. And yes it is a big difference. A lot of free to play MMOs could be better if they got a guarantee income from people trying it at least once.

If your going to be snobish then why ask for advise? The real answer is to pay the fee and get a real game that's production value and entertainment far exeed any free mmo. Most mmo's cost $15 a month which is essentially just 2 hours of work at minimum wage a month. Isn't the two little hours worth playign a real game and not someone's undergrad programming final.

This isn't just helping me this is a thread to compare different games. I explained why I said don't say guild wars, I didn't insult anyone in anyway, if it came off rude then my apologizes. But if you are going spam a thread by not following it (ex. someone requested a single player shooting game and someone tells them to just get counter-strike because HE thinks they aren't worth it) then you are just being snobbish, you aren't going get payed to 'win' a thread. Not too long ago I said I wouldn't take game adice from random Internet people. But free games are different, because I don't have to pay at all for them. That's why it's called free. I also don't mind paying a little money for extra cool looking options and advantages. :)

EDIT: Every time I picked on free MMOs a bunch of people came up to defend them, now I asked for one and people are coming up to tell me not to play them. Do I have a forum curse?

Thanks for all the suggestions. :) Can't wait for Guild Wars 2. There are good things for just being online but not massively. No ganking or spwn camping.

don't buy guild wars.. you will be very disappointed. trust me, i have played ALOT of mmo's.. including most of the free ones avaible now.
