What's the best game of all time?

Half Life (personally I liked Opposing Force the best of all but it would not have been made if not for HL1 so Half Life).

HALF LIFE!!!!! 

Got one and two the day they came out respectivly.

Not another one of these threads. Of course people follow up with a game name, but no explanation.

My vote is for X-Com UFO Defense. It came out in 1994 and had extremely innovative gameplay. It blended management with tactics. To this day, 13 years later no game has reproduced its gameplay formula. There is no X-Com of today. Perhaps UFO Afterlight came close, but its tactical game uses paused real-time, so it's a different formula.

Half Life and The Longest Journey.

Grand Theft Auto 3. It spawned an amazing new level of freedom.

Baldurs gate 1 an 2...Not only was the engine awesome...Far better than fallout..Though one can go back an forth an play both..Bg2 was bye far an still is the best dungien an dragons game ever made...Other than the ultimate series...It was state of the art an georgous graphics for its time..One can still go back and play this with fun an adventure...It was so good they shouldve made at least 10..They couldve upped the graphics as time went on as well...Instead now there making another good game called dragon age cant wait for this title..Gladestone1

dude it wasnt better than fallout...it was as good (made by same ppl) and IT DEFINATELY wasnt better than Planescape Torment

I think that now is new age when everybody choose gameplay, one of the favorits in this race is Internet based (online) games.

As for me, MMORPG lover, LastChaos :D  :shock:  :D  is one of the best games on these days. AND IT's FREE to play.

It demands not a lot  from your PC allowing to medium level PC user SUPERB gameplay on WTH (what they have).

As my people says: Try before buy!!!

 And Medieval II: Total War, but I hate to pick a "new" game and call it "best ever".
