That was one of the best.. It really put Star Wars movies them selves to shame imo.. One other one that was a great plot twist was Bioshocks one.
I thought the KotOR Twist felt awesome like it really gave you emotion in a game (I was pissed they used me to further there own ends but I saw the logic and decided it was for the best XD)
KotOR 2 though not having a good Storyline DID have a great twist.

Kera was a Sith Lord :O and was trying to destroy the force which I thought was just insane.
In crysis when you discover there are aliens on the island. Never saw that one coming!Franky12321
Shodan using the dead doctor as a puppet in System Shock 2. (and in a spiritual sense, the whole Fontaine/Atlas, "would you kindly" thing in Bioshock)
The nameless ones' entire purpose in Planescape: Torment
KoToR was pretty good, about Revan.
The drunken business traveller in No One Lives Forever was a great twist.
The fact that Tamriel is a plane of Oblivion in TES IV. Actually, the whole Assassin's Guild quest line was chocked full of great twists.
Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father in Lego Star Wars!!! really, i didnt see that comming at all :)

dang it, everyone says that, that's my favorite twist as well
I too kinda saw the Revan twist coming, however I didn't see this coming:
Bastila on the top of the Pyramid on Korriban(?), and her being against you
From Assassin's Creed:
"There is no God" twist
Abstergo being The Templars
the Assassins coming to rescue you (probably) from the lab
Malik coming to help you in the final showdown (great timing)
That was one of the best.. It really put Star Wars movies them selves to shame imo.. One other one that was a great plot twist was Bioshocks one.

Really. KOTOR and Bioshock
Knights of the Old Republic was predictable. Even The Sith Lords plot twist was less predictable.foxhound_fox
Am I the only one that saw KOTOR2's supposed twist, as not a twist at all? But a stupid and convoluted mess of a story which it seems like they ran out of ideas and made something I would see ina show like DBZ and not a KOTOR game.. The plot was made een worse in the end.. Where your space ship just flys away (or you stay there depending on ending) and nothing else happens.

I thought she was doing it because she wanted you to become powerful again, at the end after you beat her she's all "I would have killed a thousand planets just to preserve you)
The one I like (that hasn't been said) is... in Neverwinter Nights 2 when SPOILER you find out that Shandra is Ammon Jero's niece and his only family member not slaughtered. And then he kills her without knowing who she was.
My real favorite is in Twensen 2 (LBA 2) at the end when you find out that Dark Monk is actually Dr. Funfrock; really old game that I still love to death
KOTOR. What was ironic is that I named my character Revan (I heard that was the antagnonist of the game before I got it) I still can't get over it.
There are none that are particularly memorable for me... Bioshock, maybe.
I think Half-Life 2 Episode 3 will have a big twist.

Be fair, they only had a year to make it.[QUOTE="mechwarrior_bob"]I thought the KotOR Twist felt awesome like it really gave you emotion in a game (I was pissed they used me to further there own ends but I saw the logic and decided it was for the best XD)

Same thing here.... i was like WTF?!? when that happened. Still it is one of the best twists after KoTOR's. Nothing can beat that really...Knights of the Old Republic was predictable. Even The Sith Lords plot twist was less predictable.foxhound_fox

Be fair, they only had a year to make it. Normally I would agree BUT, they did the exact SAME thing to NWN2.. And my money does not differenitate which game was longer in development.. Both cost me a full game price, and KOTOR2 certainly wasn't worth that.No one mentions Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal's plot twist with Melissan? :? The one that came before all the other Bioware plot twists?augustlight
Haha yeah, I remember.
But I have a rather embarrassing confession. Remember Yoshimo in BGII? Well, he turned traitor ofc. Here's the thing: I seriously didn't even see it coming. Even though he was conveniently placed in Irenicus's prison complex, willingly offering assistance, constantly urging you on to find Imoen and trust every dodgy NPC we came across - I still didn't see it coming. I guess I had a soft spot for the guy. Even after confronting Yoshimo following his betrayal, instead of hacking him into tiny pieces, I still actually pleaded with him to rejoin the party ... but to no avail. Killing him was painful man.
I'll never forget this, me and my brothers always used to have a good laugh over it - "I can dance on the head of a bin aswell!" :D
Dead Space had some totally awesome twists.

1. When you learn the true origin, history and purpose of the alien artefact. Mind = blown.
2. When you realise how the artefact controlled you. Mind = blown. I really cared for Isaac and Nicole.
3. Doesn't really count as a plot twist, but the more I think about that game's story, the more my mind is blown again and again. Every little detail has an explanation, including the shape of the artefact. It's sad that so many disregard this story. If they'd focus on the little details, they'd realise how much work was put in the story and universe of Dead Space. It really is System Shock 3.

Seriously, wtf was LucasArts thinking...... I thought NWN2 was great, save for the performance problems.Am I the only one that saw KOTOR2's supposed twist, as not a twist at all?
