Best Game you have played in the last decade

I'm only 16 but I've been playing games since I was literally six, started off with micro man :P

anyways apart from the half life games (first fully 3d game) I think the best game that I have ever played has to be Mafia

Not only great atmosphere and amazing graphics for its time but probably the best of best story that can easily be followed and you really did feel like a gangster during those times.

So in the last decade which game do you think was the best try to keep it down to 1 don't list a lot of games I know its a big tie breaker in some games but there has to be one that stands out form the rest.

I have to say Star Wars Knights of the Republic simply because of the huge twist and Half Life 2 was another highlight in my gaming experience

Hmm...Warcraft 3 simply because of the amount of time i spent playing it. Really started my gaming lifestyle :p

On a sidenote, I thoroughly enjoyed playing Mass Effect. Say what you will but that game had a brilliant soundtrack.

hehe I see a lot of decisions that were close to mine but still overall even though KOTOR was one of my all time favorits for RPG games mafia is outstanding shows you gta series is a joke imo

Well, I'll confine it to games released in the last 10 years, and my pick would be Gamecube's Metroid Prime, just a brilliant game.

But of PC games released in last 10 years, I'm going to combine Episode 1 and Episode 2 of HL2 into 1 game, and that will be my choice. Together they are better than HL2 itself IMO.

Well if you're referring to 1999/2000 - 2009, there have been a decentbox full of pc games through this time period so far. LucasArts (or the companies it "contracted" out to develop) did nice jobs with both KOTRs, Jedi Outcast/ Jedi Academy, X-Wing Alliance, and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 were sweet. Star Trek Elite Force 1 & 2; Battlefield 2 is still doin' awesome too. GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Medal of Honors 'n Call of Duties,Soldier of Fortune, Tron 2.0, Crimson Skies, Re-Volt, Kingpin, - PC ports of Gears of War and Halo were impressive.

Fallout 3. I'm addicted to that game.

I could safely say Planescape:Torment.

This is a bloody hard question :P

But I'll say.. Oblivion, it almost nailed the perfect RPG for me. :)

ummmmm uhhhhhhh Mafia, if it has to be one. for me mass effect, morrowind, and the first stalker would be in hot persuet.

GTA 4 on the PC.

Neverwinter Nights. I've played that game extensively from when it was released on 2002 all the way up to the beginning to 2008. The multiplayer component and its modding community is one of the best for an RPG I've encountered.XIntoTheBlue

The Witcher, I've replayed some of my favorite RPGs since playing The Witcher and none of them held up (IMO).

But Neverwinter Nights is also a great choice.

Dawn of War and its expansions.

Some FF games come close but yeah DOW all the way.
