Best games with good story and music?

guildwars is pretty damn awesome. the music is done by jeremy seoul (kotor 1 & 2) story is great but the gameplay is a bit blunt.

Well if you like shocks and twists, then you should mostly play RPG games.

I reccomend you try Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Dragon Age Origins. They're both from the same dev, BioWare, which makes some of the best RPGs on the market.

Another franchise with good twists is the action-adventure series Assassin's Creed. It's full of conspiracies and all the games have good twists.

The Witcher also has some good twists, especially near the ending. You could also try The Witcher 2, which is one of the best looking RPGs.

Have you tried any of The Elder Scrolls games? They also have great stories, the most recent one, Oblivion, was released back in 2006, but it still looks great. The fifth one, Skyrim is gonna be released this November, so keep an eye on that.

imo the main storyline from Oblivion was one of its weakest points.

Deus Ex is the most obvious one that springs to mind or any of the classic RPGs presuming you've played the modern offerings such as ME and fallout NV/3 etc

Witcher 2 and Mass effect 2.

Witcher 2's story is mesmerising, mostly due to it's world. Topple that with it's score and it's a beautiful game!

I would give the Witcher 2 a chance. It's much better than the first game. I hated the first game but, like the second a lot. The gameplay is much better in the 2nd game. The story is also much more exciting right from the start.

Fallout 1 and 2 had great music, Fallout 1 had a much better story IMO. Most Blizzard games have solid stories and music, Bioware too.

Mass Effect 1 and Homeworld

If you're into adventure games and you're not bothered by point and click, you should really try The Longest Journey and the sequel Dreamfall. They have a really great Storyline as well as memorable characters and great artstyle.

If you're into more action, I would give the Legacy of Kain series (Blood Omen and Soulreaver, then Defiance) a shot. Complex storyline, great main characters and pretty good music.

If you like adventure games you should try the Longest Journey. The graphics are really dated but the story, music, and characters make up for it. I was kind of surprised on how much I enjoyed it because I'm not a fan of point & click adventure games.
