What can you guys recomend as a solid, well built, and supported laptop that handles the newer games for $1000 or less.  I want it prebuild, but its hard to distinguish  b/w dell, alienware, etc...Does anyone have personal experience?  Thanks for any help.

Um, I don't think any alienwares go under $1200. If you can find a laptop with a Go 7600, get it. I think the low end for laptops with the 7600 is around the 1200 mark too...

Such a thing does not exist. Gaming laptops are hella expensive, roughly twice as much as equivalent desktops, and they defeat the purpose of owning a notebook IMHO as they generally have poor battery life and are heavy. I doubt you could realistically even build a good gaming desktop (without resorting to ghetto components) for under 1K, and good luck finding a decent gaming laptop for under $2000.
