First your gonna have to re think everything you ever knew about mice... Wireless mice are terrible for gaming the have a slow response time making them inferior to wired mice but when you accept that pick a Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 up or if you have deep pockets go for an Ikari or a Death Adder.

What game are you looking to play? Intelli will work for most games (Its consider the best by the majority of the pro cs crowd). Death adder is 1800 and ikari is 1 - 3.200 CPI. If your a Deathmatch 1v1 player go with razers products: http://www2.razerzone.com/MouseGuide/index.html. Cs definatly the intellimouse and rts the razer "krait".

If you're sereous about FPS dont' get wirless mouse. No matter how much they try there's always lag. Get any razor wired mouse.

First of all what games do you play?

I reccomend:

CS 1.6: MICROSOFT Intellimouse 3.0 and 1.1

Quake, UT, Doom whatever: Any razer mouse

Stradegy: Any optical mouse will really do imo but thats taking for granted your not a pro

Intelli:http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-B75-00113-Intellimouse-Explorer-3-0/dp/B000GOUE7O/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1230766780&sr=8-1

3.0 the new ergonomic version.

Intelli mouse 3.0 : Also, while opinions vary, the appearance of the mouse is sleeker now that it is in black, with rubbery surface instead of cheap plastic, and the cord is thinner and the mouse feet are more adapt at sliding. Most importantly, the award-winning design hasn't changed one bit and the improved sensor is now scanned at a jaw-dropping rate of 9000 per second, which is even higher than that of the most expensive mouses, regardless of their brands, such as Razer Copperhead or Logitech G5 or even the soon-to-be-released Microsoft Habu. IME 3.0 is a mouse that is not to be overlooked by anyone who uses computer daily. It is reasonably cheap, has good comfortable design, and has the optical sensor that guarantees that the pointer will not skip, jump, or act in a weird way that will make you regret buying this. Forget wireless, forget laser. When you can get a good old wired optical mouse that works as good as the most expensive luxurious mouses at a fraction of the price, who needs to overpay, right?

WHAT GAMES DO OU PLAY?

I prefer using the Razor Lachesis, pretty sensitive, and it has 4000DPI and a 3G sensor. right now if you look around at stores like Best Buy you you can pick one up in the mid $60 range. The other mouse I have for my other PC is the Microsoft Sidewinder, (not the X5), that sits at an adjustable 2000 DPI and is pretty nice, I picked mine up last year for about $70. .

I would recommend Cyber Snipa's (yes... I know...) , Stinger gaming mouse, it is very good and cheap, more affordable then any Razer gaming mouse and just as good, if not better. it features up to 3200DPI laser engine, 4 programmable DPI levels (which you can change on-the.fly with the push of a button that is located right below the wheel, unlike the Razer Deathadder that is located on the buttom of the mouse), 6 macro programmable buttons (although I only know how to use 2...), up to 1000Hz(1ms) adjustable report rate, 8kb of on board memory and has 7 removable weights (20g each). It has the same price as Razer's Deathadder which I believe is inferior.

I don't like wireless for gaming. The G5 is good and this is great for the price:

Yes, at most Best Buy stores you can find Razor products both in store, and online as well as most Logitech, and Microsoft brand mice. I wouls suggest taking the time going to a store , and get the physical feel of some of the mice some are out on display so you can actually touch , and feel the display model, and the Best Buy I usually go to will go the extra mile, and hook a peripheral up on one of their rigs for you so you can see the operation of the product.

The krait is the best for stradegy and if you have small hands the FPS crowd likes it too.

Well the best mouse I believe is the logitech G5. Its not cheap and it is wired but it is a laser mouse with adjustable dpi settings, a comfortable grip, slides easily and doesn't gum up, a non binding/kinking cord, and adjustable weight. A mouse like this will give you a big advantage.

Listen up, what ever razor or mouse you get, it really doesnt need more than 2000 dpi, its just too sensitive if you use over that and you probably wont.

I like my Razer Copperhead but it takes some getting used to so you may prefer the Razer Deathadder which is more ergonomic. Personally i virtually always use 2000dpi so if i get a new one i'll look at the Razer Lachies (sp?) or the Roccat Kone. The Lachies is just Razer's top model with 4000dpi but the Kone has pretty much all the best features from all the other gamming mice on the market.

The only thing it lacks is on the laser, it's beaten on acceleration and number of true DPI steps by all of Razer's 3g mice and beaten on DPI by the Lachies. However i've never found those a problem on my 1g Copperhead so the Kone's 2g laser should be more than enough.

I would try newegg.com for your mouse buying pleasure. As for the razors, I was never a huge fan of them. I loved my old MS intelli 2.0 but can't speak for the 3.0 personally. I am using the logitech G9 right now. Fits the way I hold a mouse normally very well but of course it is also wired.

Well, I can say the Deathadder is perfect for shooters. The only con for me is that it's a bit short for my hand, but I'm used to small mouses.

The revolution was made to be the ultimate office mouse, it's not a gaming mouse. That's why they included an extra scroll wheel instead of programable buttons.
