Here's another build I came up with, using approximately the same parts. Tigerdirect tends to be expensive, as far as my observations go:

PII 965

HAF 922

Corsair TX 750W

http://pccyber.com/?v=Product&i=DVDRW-SA-SH-S223F%2FBEBE

Sapphire 5870

MSI 790GX-G65

OCZ Platinum 1333 DDR3

WD Caviar Black 1TB HDD

Price w/o Tax is 1285.16

Tigerdirect and newegg are a bit more overpriced compared to places like NCIX.com and directcanada.com. If you give me a resolution I'll try and make a list of stuff I can find. Hint using SHOTBOT.ca will help with finding items with the cheapest prices.

if you live outside of BC, then i would sugest you go to ncix, as you will not pay pst, tigerdirect and newegg(not sure on newegg atm but they did before) do charge pst wherever you live. i saved $40 on my dads $600, and you would save about $90-100, and i find shiping is cheaper too at ncix and prices are lower usually adn if not you can price match it

I would NOT suggest a re-furb power supply. Seriously, putting +1K of components on the line just for a few bucks isn't worth it.

You posted the RAM and DVD drive as the same link.

Thats a pretty sick build for the price. +1

Only thing I'd change: swap the HAF 922 for the 932. The extra room is well worth a few more dollars.

The i7 920 is faster compared to the 965 when it comes to rendering and encoding/decoding files. But in terms of gaming, they are pretty much equal.
