That is the highest resolution my monitor will support, so I can only play games like Crysis at no more than 1200 x 1600

I want to buy a new graphics card, but I do not want to pay for more than I currently can support or need, so what is the best I can buy for my needs. Price not a factor, I just dont want to get uneeded abilities since my resolution can only max out at

1200 x 1600.

An HD4830 or HD 4850 would be perfect, you could probably get a slighty cheaper card but i think these are about right...

Yeah but if you want to save some money then a 4870 isn't really needed at 1280x res, but they again more futrue proof...I was just going with what would do the job..

And that was what I want, somthing that would do the job. I thought maybe 4870 was a little ecessive too. If a 4850 can do the same for my monitor. Does it matter if I get 512 or 1GB of mem

4850 will sort of suffer at the res with crysis, atleast near the end.
