best graphics card recomended for PC

buy an EVGA 9600 gt gpu. Its not the best graphics card right now but they have their upgrade program so when they releas the 9800's you can send your 9600 back give them a couple hundred more dollars, and you will then have the best GPU going.whitey_rolls

good point if the 9800 gx2 is really just 2 8800gts 512's combined its going to be a huge power hog, might want to check your amps before installing one of those.

how many watts does your psu have and how many amps on the 12V rail (the psu should say on the sticker)

If he's possibly running with AGP. How about the 1950pro. Those are made with an AGP 8x. ?? I hear it's still a damn good card.

We need more spec details from you before we can suggest what kind of video card you should get. Specifically, what model number is your motherboard.

No one here wants to tell you to go buy a PCI-E card only to find out you are still rocking 8xAGP or something. That'd do no one any good at all.

Open up the side of your case,you should find the PSU in the back of the PC,it should have a label on it stating the specs of it,write them down and type then here,or even take a picture.

If you're considering an X1300 on the PCI bus, you're better off buying a motherboard with a PCIEx16 slot and integrated graphics. Seriously.

Even the 690G (integrated X1250) or G35 chipset would offer a better experience than an X1300 PCI.

If you have DDR2 RAM in your current system,you can carry that over to this here one,and it'll beat your current one by a decent margin :)

Like Wesker said,a X1250 Intergrated will be a better option than a el cheapo PCI card,and since you have PCI-E,if you can't afford that HD 2600Pro now,you can put one in later on.

If you're considering an X1300 on the PCI bus, you're better off buying a motherboard with a PCIEx16 slot and integrated graphics. Seriously.

Even the 690G (integrated X1250) or G35 chipset would offer a better experience than an X1300 PCI.
