what you the **** are you talking about? if your computer isnt a piece of **** , you can get a stable 30-40 fps in crysis on high settings...

I'm looking forward to Crysis, but you say 30-40 like its something to brag about, its not.
Considering gamespot's own benchmark shows that only 2 x 8800gts /gt/ gtx /ultra or 2 x 2900xt can achieve over 40 fps then yes it is something to brag about... those are top of the line machines.
I get your point, but compared to contemperary PC games, thats very underwhelming, I assume Crysis will demand the power of the next generation of GFX cards, will it not?
So even the fancy 8800's can't really run Crysis.(60-100FPS's, which is what PC games ought to run at on high-end systems).
