Why not get an HD4870 for the same price, instead? The 4870 is superior compared to the GTX260.

You cant go wrong with the vanilla evga gtx260 for $280. I have mine clocked past ftw speeds. I love their warrenty you can instal aftermarket cooling and overclocking is covered as well.

i dont think that i'll use the step0up program , and am gonna use the card at least for a year and a half so i want something reliable (think the GTX will last longer than the 4870)

seeing as how the 4870 uses better architecture and isnt as HUGE, i would think that it would last you ALOT longer than a gtx260.
