Best Hard Disk Company

Which company do u prefer?

I am going to buy a new 300+ hard disk, so would any1 reccommend a hard disk for me? u know what specs i want:

Silent.

Fast.

Durable .

I really like Hitachi drives.  I have many of them and I've never had one fail or anything.  Plus they are usually a little cheaper.

Seagates are great too though.

WD RE or RE2

If you want a fast hard drive, then get a pair Raptors. They are loud and unreliable tho.

I have a 120GB SeaGate Barracuda with a 8MB cache. While it's not the fastest harddrive I've seen, it is extremely quiet and has a good price. I would get a barracuda. 

Currently running HITACHI Deskstar 400GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0. Can't say anything bad, it's been a great drive.

So its the Caviar 16 SE?? i loved its specs it was great, and cheap also. i will buy a 320 GB 16SE.

WD Caviar 16SE is a horrible harddrive, full of smart bugs too and it's noisy. Maxtor and Seagate has merged, so I'm gonna vote for that one. Best drives I've tried.BounceDK

Yeah i have 1 it runs perfectly, 80gb Sata Barrcuda, i will get another 1 so that i can sli them in Raid 0 hahahha :lol:

But As i saw from the specs that Caviar 320gb 16SE  is the best.

Did u know that Western digital has implied a lifetime warranty policy on their RAPTORS?

Performance difference is negligible you might as well just get the caviar or barracuda if you are eying the raptor. 

lol, u just read my mind, but ....... people say its noisy and a Barracuda in sli would be just like it but without any noise or excess heat. still only loading in games depend on the hard disk. so its 1 more barracuda and 1 more 320GB caviar 16SE.

O GOD i got sick of no hard disk space. no more space headaches after today hahahaahah hahaha.

Personally prefer WD over Seagate. I've had three Seagate HDDs fail on me.animemog

OMG WTH this means only 1 thing. Hard disk drives Fail depending on luck.
